Josie Charlwood - Lands Of Make Believe
But all the birds and the bees, the tiny shiny things in your eyes when you looked at me, did they mean nothing at all?
Amazing loopstation cover by Josie Charlwood, the one-woman band-producer-vocalist.
Standing there with nothing on. She’s gonna teach me how to swim.

-Kickass Cover of the Day: Josie Charlwood-“The Scientist”-
While most of Josie Charlwood’s covers are done in a very intricate fashion with endless loops and breathtaking soundscapes, her heartfelt rendition of Coldplay’s “The Scientist” is a very stripped down and intimate one by comparison. Josie belts out beautiful vocals over expressive piano chords in a requiem that pays tribute to a friend of hers who has recently passed away. Josie is at her most brilliant when she plays from her heart and as far as her heartbreak shows, she is shining at her brightest here even through her lament.
“A couple of years ago when I used to frequent a certain social media/music promotion website, I would occasionally run across submissions by a group of teenagers from England called Escape Route 36.
At first I didn’t pay much attention. Teenagers with a band, how good could that be? But soon I began to notice Josie Charlwood, the female lead singer with the flaming red hair. She could really belt ‘em out. It was shocking to hear such a powerful voice coming from such a small package. I thought, this girl is going places.”
